KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

Safety & Health

Set a good personal example on safety, health and environmental practice.

Ensure that all relevant safety work instructions are followed by the technical staff at a satisfactory level.

Laboratory Operation

Maintain high efficiency and integrity of services in the laboratory in order to meet our client’s demand and respect our quality commitments.

Direct the staff to implement their duties in daily operations.

Review and approve all testing, verification, validation records, test reports and certificates.

Supervise and control outsourced testing works required by the laboratory.

Check completeness and plausibility of test results.

Ensure that the machine, tool and consumable are available, in good condition and in appropriate quantity

Liaise with customers regarding general inquiry on testing methods, complaints and testing activities.

Assist the South East Regional Manager & Office Manager on organization, management and development of the laboratory, and to maintain the efficiency in operation.

Laboratory Quality Management

Ensure that all the staff is aware of quality requirements of the management system and are adequately trained to perform their jobs and duties.

Conduct approve & monitor technical staff training. Assess technical expertise and quality of work generated by technical staff from time to time.

Responsible for the management of the nonconforming work, defines and takes appropriate actions. Implement the corrective and improvement actions.

Responsible for the management of laboratory equipment and supplies

Implement quality system in daily operations

Supervise the laboratory staff and perform staff assessment.

Organize inter-laboratory / verification tests.

Maintain and supervise the internal document control system.

Laboratory Developments

Schedule and initiate development of new standardized test methods and other test development for the laboratory, supervise directly the development works.

Formulate and supervise testing program for customers.

Interview and recruit candidates for laboratory technical positions.

QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- University level

- Fluent writing and oral English

- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in a physical testing laboratory
